terrified of vomit and vomiting

I have been terrified of vomit and vomiting ever sicne I can remember. I am always washing my hands, and being in places like planes and the subway make me feel very anxious because I'm afraid someone will throw up. My family gets really mad at me when they get the stomach flu because i hide in my room and freak out if any of them come near me. How can I get rid of this phobia?? It is driving me CRAZY!!

This is mainly a psychosomatic disorder type of presentation. You shall need to consult a Psychiatrist for help and will need certain medications as well for support. This problem can be overcome with treatment. Keep yourself relaxed and dont hesitate to take psychiatrist's help.

lol.. Don't take meds because of this problem. Just gotta man up and face your fear. I've never understood unnecessary phobias people have, there's no point in holding on to that fear - at any point you can let go and realize it's no threat to you and worrying about it will only make you less happy.

Maybe I have more control of my willpower than others, but for me I have eliminated many fears by simply reasoning them out of my head.
