just had a catheter early this morning. I have had prostititis 3 times over the last 15 years. PSA goes back to normal as soon as infection is resolved. This time I have visible pus around the cath tube.
I was prescribed Septra twice a day. Any harm in increasing to three or four a day for the first couple days?

Hello, my grandmother had a catheter inserted for the first time after a urinary infection. The physician told her to leave it in for 4 days and to come back and have it removed. This was last night, this morning she is having a burning sensation and itching. What can I do to help her, other than take her back and have it removed early?

Just had a catheter put in this morning for a Bartholin s cyst. I felt relief after the incision, but now, about 5 hours later, it s all swollen again. I have surgery scheduled to remove the cyst in three days. Is this swelling normal after insertion of the catheter?
