Dentist, Endodontics Dr. Manisha Rao's  Response
Hi, your problem is due to a TMJ disorder that may have occured beacuse of the braces treatment. Please report the problem to your dentist. Muscle relaxant medication, hot fermentation around the joint to relax and ease the cheek muscles and use of a TMJ appliance must resolve your problem. You can call me on 9848813162 for further help.

Hi
Pain after having braces is quite common initially but the clicking sound you are telling may be coming from some sort of TMJ disorder. although a long shot , but it can be due to MPDS if both pain associated with you opening your mouth and clicking sound. so to be clear , get checked yourself clinicaly. in the meanwhile go for hot fermentation and analgesics ( aceclofenac , paracetamol along with muscle relaxant chlorzoxazone ).

wishing you speedy recovery
with regards

hi , pain the jaw is not due to braces, as you have told that there is clicking sound as well so this is due to some disorder in your temporomandibular joint. you should consult two dental specialist for your issue, first go for an orthodontic analysis. the orthodontist will check your pain association with praces treatment, then also take one opinion from a maxillo facial surgeon regarding the clicking sound of TMJ. good luck, regards.
