hello, my daughter has cronic symptoms of a dead metabolism, lymph edema. Recently she found out that she has a low transferrin count of 236. She is an athlete, Ice skater, skating 4-5 hrs a day. She is 25. Her weight is a real issue with her because it is now getting in he way of her career. She has been tested, and retested for hypothyroidism, she has some adrenal fatigue. she read that having a low transferrin count can indicate an over looked hypothyroid problem. when she was about 17-18 she got down to 150 but she could not keep it off without starving herself. she eats extremely clean. she should be a stick. she is now about 185. This whole week she has not skated because of feeling very light headedness to the point of almost fainting. this is when she was checked out with the Dr. and found out that she is low transferrin, high vit b12,
