Would Tylenol Or Advil Help To Treat Stomach Cramping/discomfort?

I accidentally drank some water that was left in the car for overnight and half a day. I thought it was my bottle water that I brought from the house. Now my stomach is experiencing some uncomfortable pain. I feel like my stomach is cramping, but I m not too sure. Would taking some Tylenol or Advil help make the pain go away?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Stomach and intestines pain is a very special type of pain. It is caused by smooth muscles spasm. So regular painkillers like Tylenol are usually ineffective. To fight such pain, muscle relaxing medicines like Metamizole or Buscolisine are effective. Also warm bath can cause muscle relax and ease such pain.
Your pain seems to be caused by an infection. You should start probiotic intake to fight the infection. If it will be present for more than 2 days, you should consult your doctor.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
