Will The Opiate Patch Make Headaches Worse?

HI

We are medibank private members and my daughter had had migraines every day for the past 8 moths. She has been treated by a neurologist and the Pain clinic however nothing has helped and she is having an operation at the end of Jan

SHe put on an opiate patch on Christmas eve which has helped in the past but her headaches have gotten worse over the last 24 hours and she is very ill. Could the patch be making it worse?
