Will Taking Anti Inflammatory Tablets Help Heal Pain In Knee?

Hi, I banged my knee against the wall 3 weeks ago. It hurts a lot when I bend my knee. Applying ice makes it worse, but warm baths make it better but only for a few hours. I have been taking anti-inflamatory tablets. The pain hasn t gone yet, please help.

Hello,

You didn't mention your age and whether immobilization was done or not, first of all, get the X-rays and MRI of knee done to make the exact diagnosis.

You can go for physiotherapy, it will definitely help you but don't forget to do X-ray and MRI.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Jaideep Gaver, Orthopaedic Surgeon
