Will Taking Tylenol With Codeine Ease Brazilian Wax Pain?

Can you take a tylenol with codeine before a Brazilian wax? Will it lessen the pain? I am prescribed some for a labrum tear that hurts constantly and I take it every 6 hours or so. I want to know if I time it properly to take it before my appointment if it will actually help with the pain.

Hi,

The painkillers are useful to reduce pain in an area if it is painful due to some reason.

However, the painkillers do not numb the area so the perception of pain cannot be stopped by a painkiller during any painful or traumatic procedure.

However, local anaesthetic gels like Lidocaine can be applied locally to reduce pain perception.

As far as a painkiller is concerned you can take it immediately after the procedure to reduce the pain.

So better take the given dose of painkiller immediately after your waxing procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
