Will Surgery For Lump Removal From Neck Cause Scars?

I am going to have a minor operation on my neck next Monday to remove a small lump like oil seed. The surgeon wants to burn and operate because I have infection now. Will the burning process cause great scars? Finally, what medicine is best to heal scars quickly? Can taking Vitamin C and protein powder helps the healing process?

Hi
The development of scars after a surgical intervention is normal. However, the nature of the scar depends on the surgical technique used and the individual's healing process. Some guides may however reduce the risk of developing funny scars:
-Avoid stretching the wound while it is healing
-Regain full range of motion as soon as possible after the wound heals
-Massage the wound occasionally with simple lubricants including petroleum containing creams and antiseptics after the wound closes
-Avoid direct sun light on the scar
As the wound heals, if the scaring process wanna take a funny course, you see a dermatologist for follow-up
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
