Will It Be Safe To Take Bronchorex For Cough And Breathlessness?
My husband has been choking (on his saliva?) while speaking, eating and laughing. He becomes breathless and the cough produces no phlegm or mucous. He had relief on being prescribed Bronchorex but it recurred on discontinuing the same. He is not sure if he is experiencing reflux. What can be done?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, we should should first rule out bronchitis in your husband's case because his symptoms like breathing difficulty, cough, not able to expectorate etc are commonly seen with bronchitis. So consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (pulmonary function test). PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease. And treatment is based on severity only. He will need inhaled bronchodilator (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). Only bronchorex cough syrup will not be effective. Don't worry, he will be alright. First diagnose him and then start appropriate treatment. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your husband. Thanks.
