Will High Resistance Training Affect The Heart?

I am fit and healthy. I run 3-4 miles on the treadmill every week and set the resistance so that my heart rate runs between 145-175 during the work out. On hills it goes up to 175 for as long as several minutes. I'm 42 years old, Is there a risk to pushing too hard? I feel fine afterwards. I run three times a week for about 35 minutes
