Will An Anal Fissure Go Away On Its Own?

So over the weekend I had anal sex for the first time and I noticed that something appeared on my anus. it kind of resembles an anal fissure but I’m just not very sure and kinda frightened and worried. if it is an anal fissure will it go away on its own or will I need some sort of treatment? At first I thought it was a hemorrhoid because it was itchy but I haven’t experienced bleeding. I took a picture and the closest thing that it looks like that I’ve seen is a fissure. Please let me know ASAP!!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As you said, you had anal sex and your problem is related to it. A rough anal sex can lead to anal fissure. If it is so then you must be experiencing severe pain during defecation.

I would suggest you to take stool softener like isabgol with milk/water. Take pain medicines like Diclofenac and consult your physician for prescription. Sit in lukewarm water for 15 minutes daily (search "sitz bath" on Google). This will helps in healing of fissure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prashant
