Will Zoloft And Xanax Medicines Leads To Daytime Sleepiness?

I take Zoloff and Xanax for depression and anxiety. Over the last few weeks I have been sleeping more and more during the day and night, putting off going out and doing things. I'm 66 and in good physical shape. This is really bothering me, but i don't seem to do anything about it. Any suggestions?

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

It is possible that your issues are caused by the medication since both those drugs can cause drowsiness. Xanax isn't recommended to be taken for long periods of time anyway because it develops dependance and tolerance. So I suggest that you withdraw Xanax, as gradually as possible. If symptoms persist even when you are taking Zoloft only I suggest you take it in the evening, say 18.00, instead of in the morning when it is usually given.

I hope to have been of help.
