Why There Is Bloody Water In My Toilet With Bowel Movement?

the past two days I have had bloody (pink) water in the toilet with a bowel movement. I take 5mg Warfarin daily for Afib. My current INR is low at 1.6. I have been drinking more than 3 alcohol drinks a day for several months. Prior to this period my INR was stable at 3.1.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical approach, it is blood thinner induced bleeding in bowels due to the altered international normalized ratio (INR). Must stop consuming warfarin and immediately consult your treating physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
