Why My Sons Knuckle Turned To Blackish Blue?

My grown son s knuckles on left hand turned a blackish blue color and almost look pooled with blood. He did not hit anything with his hand. Both arms were numb for a short time. In the morning it was gone but comes back during the day. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history of black spots on knuckles, my treatment advice is –

1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a kojic acid cream like kojivit twice daily on it.
3. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
