Why is phosphorous supplement prescribed while suffering from Addison s disease?

My daughter’s doctor just prescribed phosforous (?) for her after just being released from the hospital for an Addison”s disease crisis and the flu. I never heard of anyone being low on phosforous. Would you please tell me what that means. Thanks

Hello,

She would have been prescribed prednisolone and not phosphorus. As Addison patient is deficient in the steroid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
