Why Is My Toddler Unable To Sleep Due To Stuffy Nose?

Dear Doctor,

I’m a very frustrated mother as my 18th months old baby is suffering from cold for the past 4 months. No matter what medicine my doctor prescribes, he never responds to any. All these 4 months time I have been experiencing sleepless nights. He suffers a lot during day time with stuffy and runny nose. He’s weight is 10kg and has no appetite at all. He hardly eats but surviving on my breast milk. My main concern is that he does not get sleep in the night due to blocked nose. He scrolls all over the bed and finally cries. I am greatly being thankful if any of you can give me advice on this matter as I no longer be able to watch him suffering.

I have a feeling the child is suffering from allergic status to some unknown substance. do you have animals? too many trees? non cotton clothes especially fur?

i am assuming he doesnt have fever that frequently- its not mentioned in your query.

i would suggest a test- serum IgE. if its positive, get to a allergy specialist as soon as possible

do let us know the other tests also, ones done previously
