Hello,

Is she producing any sounds?? Is she understanding what we spoke?

Possible causes are like

1. vocal cord palsy.
2. Aphasia.
3. Viral laryngitis.
4. vocal nodules.

She may need indirect laryngoscopy to know the mobility or pathology of vocal cords. also get it done serum electrolytes. What is the report of MRI shows? Please follow with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
