Hi,
Low dose aspirin is given in pregnancy to prevent complications such as hypertension in pregnancy. this high blood pressure can cause the baby to be small or deliver early.
Low dose aspirin is given as a precaution in women who have a higher chance of getting high blood pressure.
If your age is more than 35 years ,or the gap between this pregnancy and the previous one is more than 10 years ,or if they have found an abnormality in uterine blood flow ,which could indicate increase chances of developing high BP in later months of pregnancy.
Low dose aspirin is also given to mothers having diabetes ,kidney problems.
Low dose aspirin does not harm the mother or the baby in any way.
The low placenta should be checked later to see if has shifted higher.
As if it remains in lower part of uterus ,a decision regarding method of delivery normal or caesarean may have to be considered at term.
usually 80%of placenta migrate to upper part of uterus so ,don't worry about it.
Regards.
