Why Does The Skin Of My Lower Lip Keeps Peeing Off?

I have a persisting problem on my lower lip. about 5 years ago, my lower lip skin peel off and leave red mark on my lower lip. It looks really bad and I have been visiting dermatologist doctors to get some help to return my lower lip to its normal black color. Iam a black male.

Hello,
The more you try to remove partially peeled skin from the lower lip, the more it is going to peel again. The main problem here is dryness of the lips. You need to use a good quality lip balm at least 5 times a day and restrain from peeling the skin of lips. If there is a lot of burning/ itching in the area you may take a short course (14 days) of mild topical steroid cream like desonide cream at night. If the problem is getting aggravted on sunexposure, then you need to use any lip balm with sunscreen in it.
