Why Does Temazepam Seem To Be Doing The Opposite Instead Of Helping Me To Sleep?

I have been taking Temazepam and still can t get to sleep. I stay up all night hoping for sleep to come. I tried ambien before and I was sleep walking ie: eating, etc and not even knowing. Therefore, my general MD prescribed Temazepam. Why does it seem to be doing the opposite instead of helping me get to sleep? Thanks

Sometimes, benzos can cause paradoxical agitation if taken in higher dose.
What dose has been prescribed by your doctor? How much ambien you have been taking in past?

Try decreasing the dose of temazepam and observe your sleep.
If you stil have problem, talk to your doctor about change of drug.
