Why Do I Have Bumps At The Back Of My Tongue?

I feel like there is something stuck on the back of my tongue. I have looked and I do have a couple of small bumps that are the same color of my tongue. There is no pain at all it is just irritating to constantly swallow and feel like something is back there.

hi,
welcome to H.C.M
the small circular bumps on the back of your tongue are absolutely normal!
they are called circumvallate papillae, usually arranged in an inverted v shaped order.
feeling of irritation may be because of prior vigorous cleaning efforts/ brushing on the tongue causing injury to the delicate tissues on these papillae.
i would suggest you to use luke warm saline gargles to ease the irritation .
i would appreciate if you send me information regarding nasal complaints like nasal discharge / excessive sneezing or nasal congestion if any.

good luck

regards
