Why Do I Have Back Pain Between My Left Shoulder Blade And The Center Of My Back?

I have back pain between my left shoulder blade and the center of my back. It doesn t take my breathe, I have no chest pain. I m not nauseas or sweating. It almost feels as though there is a knot in my back similar to a charley horse in your leg. It goes away for long periods of time, seems to bother me more at work when I m sitting at my desk. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Hi,

Your posture at desk seems to be straining you back while operating computer / writing work. Please consult an orthopedic surgeon for some specific physiotherapy exercises and also correction of your posture in office.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
