Hi,

After a serious illness, there is change in menstrual habit. I feel that's why profuse bleeding last time and so also the pain during this menses. Please don't worry but still it is advisable get a gynecological check up and exclude few uncommon problems. Please consult your gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
