Hi,

Carnitine deficiencies may cause muscle weakness so might be prescribed in that regard however for symptoms you discussed muscle relaxants like Tizanidine or Orphenadrine may. used along with OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for better relief. If persist radio-graphic evaluation may be needed.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
