Why Am I Pregnancy Even After Taking Morning After Pills?

Hi, I had a slip up with my partner during intercourse and I took the morning pill the next afternoon and now I have found out I'm pregnant. Can this happen and if so how. I took the morning after pill that requires you to take the two tablets at once.

Hello,
While no one has to take Emergency contraceptive pills 72 hours after having unprotected intercourse, the sooner the better—effectiveness of Emergency contraceptive pills depends largely on how quickly it’s taken.

Emergency contraceptive pills only protect against pregnancy when you take them after sex. That means you can still get pregnant if you take emergency contraception and then have sex again without using another kind of contraception or your birth control fails.

So once again confirm your pregnancy by consulting a gynecologist, as chances of pregnancy are very less if you have taken the pills properly.

All the best and take care.
