Why Am I Not Getting Heartbeat In Scan In 6 Weeks Pregnancy?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I had a scan at 6 weeks and no heart beat could be found got to go back 8 weeks pregnant. All the signs of tender breasts smells and so tiered all the time could the sack still be empty

Hello

Fetal heart beat may not be visualized in 6 weeks.It may be due to many reasons like excess maternal fat,wrong date etc.
You are rightly suggested for follow up ultrasound after 2 weeks.
If fetal pole is still not visualized in follow up scan then it may be considered as missed abortion.
I suggest for trans vaginal sonography(TVS) in follow up.It increases sensitivity.
