Which Steroid Is Less Harmful Or Do Both Have The Same Side Effects?

Hi, .my wife(40 yrs) is suffering from Minimal Change Disease ( Nephrotic syndrome). First doctor prescribed Wysolone 60 / day. For 13 days she had it but very little improvement whereas water retention kept on increasing. She also had lasilactone 50 for decreasing water retention but no improvement observed. Now another doctor prescribed Deflazacort 60 /day along with Tide 100. My question : 1. whether the steroid has been changed. 2. Which steroid is less harmful or do both have the same side effects. 3. Will she get back to her normal routine health post medication.

The steroid which was given earlier causes more side effects than the one given later. Nephrotic syndrome is a treatable condition and she will get back to her routine work once she recovers completely. So no need to worry.
