When Should A Hip Replacement Surgery Done?

I have 2 bad hips. Right one went first, better after cordizone shot. Left hip acted up, got a shot there but outcome was disappointing--technique was different and rushed through--left hip began getting much worse soon after. My question--when is joint damage too advanced to have replacement done?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It all depends on symptoms and radiological assessment. If symptoms are severe you can consider replacement on the side which has got more pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
