Can you explain in lay mans terms what the details of this procedure means: The Patient was brought to the operating room where a general anesthetic was admisistered. She was the prepped and draped in the usual fashion for vaginal surgery. The cervix was easily dilated. Hysteroscope was then used to visualize the entire endometrial cavity. Both tubal ostia were clearly visualized. The patient was noted to have submucosal fibroid emanating from the posterior wasll; otherwise, the tissue appeared to be normal. The curettage was performed at this time for diagnostic puposes. Because of the patient s age and desire to avoid hysterectomy, an endometrial ablation was attempted with a NovaSure ablation device. Multiple attempt of trying to deploy the instrument mesh were tried and to no avail. The instrument could not deploy inside the uterine cavity with the submucosal fibroid. For this reason, the procedure was aborted. The patient will be given Depo-Lupron for the fibroids and anemia and alternative therapies will be sicussed with her. There were no complications to any of these procedures. The hysterectomy of the uterus alone was done at a later date of which i do not have records , but since then walking and pain like a cut off of circulation hip pain in the bursa sacs walking have increasingly become a problem it feels like there is something forein in cervic area
