When Do Periods Begin After Taking Primolut N?

Hi Doctor I took Primolut N in November to delay my period, after stopping the tablet it started 2 days later in December. My period in January was delayed by a week, and now I am still waiting for my period to start on February which is over a week late. How long will it take for my cycle to balance itself out and be normal? It s over two months since I stopped taking it. Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Generally period will reappear after five to seven days. If the periods are delayed long, you can consult a gynaecologist and start on hormonal pills to induce bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
