My lmp was may 7. Took pregnancy test on june 20 it was week positive. Went for scan on June 23, there was no sac. Then doctor gave folic acid tablets for a week. again after a week took pregnancy test that too was week positive and no sac but thick endometrium. So doctor gave me tablets for regular periods. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If ultrasound is showing no fetal development anywhere in or out of the uterus then there is no need to worry. Folic acid is only for the growth of the cells.

If you have taken contraceptive pills for regular periods then bleeding or even spotting occurs after completing the cycle. Sometimes even stress (related to fear of pregnancy) can delay or decrease menstrual bleeding due to a hormonal imbalance. Do wait for 3-4 days, if bleeding does not occur still then consult your gynaecologist doctor for a pelvic examination.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
