Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are no serious interactions between alcohol and Doxycycline. The only related 'interaction' involves alcoholic patients. Such patients may metabolize Doxycycline faster and may require higher doses. This is because chronic alcohol abuse may lead to enzyme induction in the liver that metabolize other drugs (like Doxycycline) faster. Drinking once in a while won't cause enzyme induction. Regarding sexual contacts, there are no limitations or contraindications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
