What Would An Injection Be Used For In An Heart Attack?

My mum was admitted to hospital after a stroke and the following morning we received a call asking us to go to the hospital. when we got there, we walked into the room and the curtains were drawn around my mum. she was laying on her back with her eyes closed. i asked my dad if she was going to be ok and he replied "i think she's dead". i noticed an injection on the cabinet next to her bed, my dad said this was probably used to help revive her. she died of a heart attack and we got to her bedside 2 minutes after she passed. why did the hospital call us, can they tell if someone is going to have a heart attack? and what would an injection have been used for? could this of been to revive her after a heart attack? thank you

very sorry for your loss..
there are multiple injections a doctor can give to patient for heart attack..
most important one would be an injection to dissolve clot..all others are supporting drugs like pain killer to prevent vomiting..
predicting heart attack is not possible..hospital people might have called after she suffered a heart attack.
