What Will Happen If I Forgot To Take Birth Control Pills Properly?

Hello, I am currently taking mono-linyah birth control. Weeks 1-3 are my active blue pills and week 4 are white sugar pills. I am on day 2 of the white sugar pills and just realized I did not take my 2nd to last blue active pill on Friday night. Can you please tell me how this affects me in regards to being protected and what I should do? Thank you, Lisa

Hi Madam.Lisa,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Whenever you skip or miss the birth control pills or its intake is rescheduled, there is always a risk for becoming pregnant.
Hence, it is advised to continue with the pills, but to use other modes of contraception like condoms or spermicides during such time while having intercourse, until you get your next periods.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
