welcome to HealthcareMagic
IBS can be presented in various ways like due to parasitic infections like amoebisis;giardiasis;fructose malabsorption;bile acid malabsorption;inflammatory bowel disease. The exact cause is not known but there is a strong relation of the disease to the mental stress;loss of sleep;anxiety;depression and even prolonged infections and fevers like typhoid can lead to such a condition. There is no exact treatment and the available medicines offer symptomatic relief. The treatment consists of medicines to relieve the symptoms;counselling for the mental stress and depression;avoiding outside food;taking diet rich in fibers;medicines for the pain ;diarrhoea;and even antidepressants if needed. So please consult a Gastroenterologist and get treated.
