What Treatment Is Suggested For Weight Loss?

I have lost 30 lbs and maintained the loss for a year now. I started on 100mg of atenolol and have been changed to several meds as my pressure dropped with the weight. I now take 50 mg of Losartan. If I don t take it, after 2 to 3 days my pressure goes up to 158/98 or so, if I do take 1/2 after 2 doses it gets very low. If the systolic is normal the diastolic is so low I get dizzy. A thiazide alone doesn t seem to help.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you have come down by weight, there will be reduction of the peripheral resistance, hence the B.P, might have lowered.
Hence the previous anti hypertensives have the over dose effect. So there is a reduction in the dose of the hypertensive, and hypo tension with the older dose and even the half of the dose.
I usually prescribe, aten 25,or 12.5 if necessory.
If still not adjustable, you can try only the salt restriction.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
