Hi,

Deviry contains medroxyprogesterone, it helps in postponing periods by maintaining the endometrium. After stopping the Deviry, due to withdrawal effect the endometrium will shed. Sometimes it may take one week to 10 days to get the withdrawal bleeding.

If you want to postpone the periods further, you can use Deviry in the same dose as advised by your doctor. You have to use till you want to postpone means till 9th January. From 10th you can stop the tablets and withdrawal bleeding may come in one week to 10 days.

But the point to be remembered is repeated intake of tablets to postpone the periods can affect the hormonal levels and can affect further menstrual cycles. So, after this program better to avoid hormonal tablets for at least 6 months.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
