What Treatment Is Suggested For Bartholins Cyst During 28th Week Of Pregnancy?
Hi...i am 28 weeks pregnant and i am pretty sure i have a bartholins cyst again, i've had one early on in my pregnancy. I just noticed it and it's swollen and starting to drain on its own. Its a bit painful. Do i need to be on antibiotics?! Its friday and my OB/GYN office is closed.for weekend.
I am so sorry to hear about this Bartholin's cyst that you seem to have. The best treatment for a cyst is what is called marsurpialisation. This ensures that the cyst is treated and it will not recur in the near future. Antibiotics are needed only when there is an infection. I will suggest that you get evaluated by your OBGYN for this and get a treatment plan established to address this. There is no emergency and you should plan and get an appointment.
I hope this addresses your query fully and provides enough information for you to act on. Feel free to ask for any clarification or more information if needed and I will gladly respond to.Thanks for using our services. Dr. Ditah, MD.
