What To Do To Gain Weight?

Dear Doctor, I am 45 years old, weight 99lbs, height 5.1 and I have been taking zincovit tablets daily, one tablet per day. I need to gain weight but not sure whether this will work. I wanna know before I continue any further. Please advise. Tks/SRI LANKA

Thank you for trusting HCM.
Following precise steps that i will describe will help you gain weight.
1. Get physical examination to make sure you can safely change your diet and routine to what i will tell you, plus make sure the doctor will run some a thyroid function test to check whether you have hyperthyroidism leading to increased metabolic demands but this usually comes with other symptoms.
2. Change your diet, consume more than 4000 calories minimum per day, eat starchy food like mashed potato, rice, paste, full fat milk, cookies, avoid sugary food and i dont recommend fast food.
3. work out, exercise will increase your appetite.
4. continue with the vitamins.
5. some supplements are sold on the market with high protein and caloric values could help add some weight.
