What To Do If The Sealing Of The Pilodonial Cyst Is Opening Up?

My son had a pilodonial cycst removed 3 years ago. It sealed up finally but just opend up again. We are putting gauze in it, but how can we keep from this happening. The opening is at the top of the original surgery. Seems like the skin must be very thin.

If pilonidal sinus can not excise completely than it can re occur. So i would advice you to show it to a general surgeon and see if you need a repeat surgery. Till than you should take antibiotics like augmentin 625 mg three times a day after your doctor's consultation. Also local dressing with mupirocin ointment will help.
