What To Do If Have Muffled Hearing, Shooting Pains After Bleeding Due To Piercing Eardrum With Qtip?

I was just cleaning out my ears with a qtip, my arm slipped and I accidently jabbed it far into my ear. After falling to the floor in horrible pain, I managed to get back up and asses my situation. I felt wetness in my ear and gently touched it to find LOTS of blood. After a whole wash rag later (completely soaked in blood) the bleeding has Sloan down. But my hearing is VERY muffled and I keep having shooting pains from the sound vibrations. What should I do?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of ear trauma by the q-tip, bleeding, muffled hearing, shooting pains and a bout of falling down upon the injury.

I would advise you the following:
First of all, do not instill anything in the ear.
Secondly get an appointment with an ENT for cleaning, clinical evaluation and investigations if any.
You will require a regular follow-up by your ENT till you are cured.
The traumatic perforation gets healed in most of the cases.
I find this answer helpful
