Probably you have developed an
abscess or a keloid.
Both present initially as hard lump.
Abscess are deep bacterial infections.
In simple terms bacteria infect our body and destroys tissue.
This destroyed tissue forms pus and a collection of pus anywhere in body is called as abscess.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Abscess must be drained and pus should be subjected to tests to find out which bacteria is causing it and to which antibiotic the bacteria is sensitive.
Keloids are just collection of fibrous tissue.
