I have red splotches on the tops of my hands that are not itchy, bumpy, or raised. They are random in size and they come and go. They will show up for a few days, go away for about a week, then show back up. Any ideas? I am unable to take a picture of them and send due to my lack of computer technology...lol
I can understand your concern for the red splotches on top of hands. Though it is practically not possible to give exact diagnosis without close examination but I can make a possibility of Allergic dermatitis. In Allergic dermatitis there are eruptions along with moderate itching and in more aggravated cases there is appearance of more redness which persist for more than multiple of days.
The only precaution you must follow is not to touch, pinch pop or squeeze any of them other wise it can get infected and can cause complications.
You can apply medium potency steroid cream application of fluticasone cream. You can additionally take antihistamine benadryl or loratadine by mouth.
