What To Do For An Electrical Shock Type Symptoms Followed By Rotator Cuff Surgery?

A good friend had rotator cuff surgery 2 weeks ago. She is now experiencing weird electrical shock type symptoms on the back side of her arm below the shoulder. She describes it like take a nerve, pull it way back, like you re gonna shoot a rubberband and let it snap.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The abnormal sensations are likely related to damage to the nerves that may have occurred during surgery.

This damage may be temporary. It can take weeks to months, in some cases, for the nerve function to return to normal.
If the abnormal sensations are very disruptive, there are medications that may be helpful.

I hope this helps
