What Sleep Medication Is Recommended For 85 Year Old With Pelvic Fracture?

What is a safe sleep medicine for an 85 yr. old woman recovering from pelvic fracture, and showing signs of medication and/or trauma induced dementia - not sleeping day or night, except for occasional short naps. She has never been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer s.

Hi,
I would suggest trying Temazepam in a low dose to start with. You will need to know her weight before prescribing. Often 10mg is a suitable dose.
