What Should I Do When I Mistakenly Took My 2nd Janumet Pill At About Noon?

Hi. I may have mistakenly taken my 2nd Janumet pill about noon. I m supposed to take Janumet 50/1000 twice a day with food. I took the first one around ten and took the rest of my AM pills around noon. My b/s is 183 right now and I m hungry so want to eat. What say you?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Don't worry. Usually two tablets taken mistakenly will not cause an issue. Even hypoglycemia is rare with Janumet. Skip the next dose which is supposed to be taken with the next meal if you experience gastritis like issues. Please take PPI viz Pantop.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bheemaraya D., Internal Medicine Specialist
