What Should I Do For Salty Discharge From Nose?

Hi, I was in a t-bone accident where my brain slammed back and forth inside my skull, im having trobles walking on my right side, with problems in my right shoulder and arm. Im now leaking a salty fluid from my nose and it seems that its in my throte too, What would this salty taste be.?

Hello. Thanks for your question. You seem to have a cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhoea. This condition occurs due to trauma to the bone separating nasal cavity from brain.( ethmoid bone ). Clinical examination of nose , nasal endoscopy and CT scan of nose and sinuses is required to ascertain the exact cause and further management. I suggest you to consider ENT consultation on an priority basis. Regards.
