Hello,

Get clinically examined by a diabetologist. Get fasting plasma glucose test, oral glucose tolerance test, hemoglobin A1c test, etc., done, to confirm insulin resistance. To prevent insulin resistance, you are suggested to do regular exercises, take healthy diets like legumes, lean meat, whole grains, fish, beans, nuts, vegetables and fruits, etc.

After consultation with a Diabetologist you may be prescribed metformin by your treating doctor to keep your blood glucose level on check. Manage weight, limit alcohol intake, avoid intake of trans fat and refined carbohydrates. Focus on fiber in the diet and drink water and fluids adequately.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
