What Prognosis Is Recommended For Vision And Memory Problems In A Stroke Survivor?

My wife had a stroke on May 12 and is now 77 years old. she stills functions fairly well. She has vision problems and memory problems but her friends hardly notice much difference in her demeaner. She can no longer drive. This is not much info but can you guess at her life expendency? Bill YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

It is hard to guess at because we do not have all the information. If she is otherwise healthy and does not have another stroke, she could easily live another five to ten years or more. If she has another stroke, heart attack or other problem it could be a much shorter time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
